Actos and Avandia stimulate the kind called PPAR-gamma.
New “glitazar” drugs now in district will stimulate PPAR-alpha as well as PPAR-gamma.
However, de la Monte and colleagues find that the best anti-Alzheimer’s importance — in rats — comes from a drug that stimulates a kind of PPAR called PPAR-delta.
The good news is that if this tending does turn out to work in kindred line, encyclopedism knowledge injections probably won’t be needed.
In the rat studies, the drug was able to move through the blood into the whizz.
“Everybody wants something for cognitive harm, and that was the most improved with the PPAR-delta [stimulator],” de la Monte said.
